Hello! I'm here to post another good old entry that you might not care about but what the heck. This magical sphere of beauty blogging won't be complete without constantly updating THE skin care routine. lulz. And what would beauty blogging impose if your canvass is not well taken care of in the first place? Besides, I feel extra special when the boyfriend says I'm more beautiful when I take my make-up off. lulz again.
Moving on, I seem to change my skin care routine quite a lot, especially after finishing a skin care product. I tend to easily get bored with stuff that I have to change up my routine every so often, or when I run out of the product. Though I do love switching products up, do keep in mind that I am not some wasteful brat who throws away products if she didn't like it. I like to at least get value for my money even if the product sucked balls. And along the process of going through this cycle I have learned two important things. First is that the less you put on your face, the better it works. I find the layering skin care too gimmicky. Second, expensive does not always mean that it is far more superior than the less expensive counterparts.

First is that the less you put on your face, the better it works. I find the layering skin care too gimmicky. Second, expensive does not always mean that it is far more superior than the less expensive counterparts.
First off the army are my cleansers. The fine line in choosing a cleanser is the gentleness, not the brand. You have to choose a cleanser genlt enough for your skin type BUT should suffice the purpose of cleaning. I don't have that much sensitive skin so I glorify in using suds-ier cleansers mainly because I feel a little cleaner with more lathering cleansers. Using gentle cleansers doesn't really clean my face so I end up having break-outs instead.
Here's a rundown of my cleansers: (Dermatologists beware!)
The Olay Total Effects Foaming cleanser is what I use after removing my makeup with cleansing oil. I also bring it with me everyday for instant cleaning purposes whenever my face accidentally gets dirty. The Cetaphil I use is meant for normal to oily skin. It's different with the regular Cetaphil. It's a clear gel form. And of course, I never us it alone. I use it in conjunction with my Buf-Puf Facial Sponge (exfoliator). That nifty little bar soap in the far right is my L'occitane Extra Gentle Shea Butter Soap (mik variant) and yes I use it on my face morning and night. It's sudsy and it keeps my face squeaky clean, just the way I like it. It's soap and it's foamy and I'm a legit derma nonconformist. Dermatologists I warned you.
Up next are my face exfoliators. To the left is my ionax scrub. It was initially recommended by my derma for my
Ahhh the moisturizers. For some reason, my face treats moisturizers like a good ol' therapy. I am a proud grease-face and I am not ashamed to pronounce my love for moisturizers. Don't even start me with Olay. I have been a loyal anti-aging fan to the brand since I was 16 years old. No regrets. I am in my early twenties and the premature wrinkles are still having a hard time trying to surface on my skin. I have been a long-time user of the Total Effects Day Cream but ever since my mom gave me this Olay Complete Moisturizer, I was hooked and have been using it as an everyday all-around moisturizer. Kudos to the physical suncreen in it! I am less of a greasy mess with this and it just likes to take good care of my makeup.
For my night moisturizer, I only trust Olay Total Effects Night Cream. It's the only moisturizer that keeps my face supple and well-hydrated. Oh it's good enough it gives my classmates the impression that I didn't study for my exams when in fact, I pulled and all-nighter with a dozen cup of coffee. In layman's terms, it saves my face from all the haggard and stress called college. My oily skin doesn't seem to backfire too!
There goes my toner, Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Toner. I cannot stress further how much I like this toner (I've done an old review of it too). It's pretty average but it manages to sweep my face clean, keeps the pore at an acceptable diameter, and keeps the shine from its fierce aggravation. I don't particularly like how it's gone a few pesos higher already. Darn it.
Cleaning my face with makeup remover every single day is a must for me. I don't normally wear makeup every day because I spend majority of my time at school, but my face constantly gets exposed to pollution that cleaning with face wash can never be enough for me. Ever since my trusty (and wasn't so mainstream yet) bioderma cleansing solution ran out, I was kind of torn if I would be repurchasing considering the jacked up price since it became more popular. The poor college girl in me decided to try something cheaper but cleans the face like a mad baws. Then I discovered Watson's Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing Oil, which is wonderful. In fact, I'm currently on my third bottle. Nothing beats removing every last trace of friggin dirt form the face with a ridiculously cheap price. Doesn't break me out too. On the right is just your average CVS eye makeup remover which I use on very rare occasions that I put eye makeup on.
For the lovely pits, I only use two things. On the left side is my Human Heart Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil which I'm currently road-testing. I use it as a nightly treatment for my underarms in hopes of lessening the chicken skin and probably lighten my pits a bit? But I'm not counting on the latter part. So far so good though. It's greasy upon application but every morning I wake up to super smooth underarms. I can go out of the house without applying anything to my pits and I don't get sweaty AND smelly at all. Meanwhile to the right is my VMV Hypoallergenics Essence Skin-Saving Antiperspirant. To be honest with you, it doesn't do anything tremendous considering its hefty pricetag. I still get sweaty and I get smelly. If not for it's skin-friendly attributes, I might just go back to my old Nivea deodorant. Not to mention it's so friggin hard to remove. It leaves this sticky film that is just hard to get rid of even with a thousand scrub. But I just have to get used to it because I'm going a little more natural with my pits.
Moving on to body, I can only grab these two because they were in the basket I keep in my closet. Note: I don't have my own bathroom. To the left is my lulur scrub which everyone would probably know about. I used to love this to the point that it has become a weekly staple for me. But as a scrub, it's not really gritty enough to make my skin feel well-scrubbed. I personally find their formulation getting less gritty as time pass. I cannot use it anymore for a good scrub. I rely on my scrubbing cloth and whatever body wash my mom had in her stash more than this lulur scrub if I want a really good body exfoliation. To the right is my favorite dove variant. I love dove. My mom never introduced any other bar soap here in the house. I'm such a sucker for moisturizing soap but at the same time has a good-enough cleaning ability. This go fresh variant is the pink one with the pomegranate scent which I absolutely love!
You've probably guessed by now how I have this moisturizer guilty pleasure. I have relly oily facial skin but my body is quite dry. I have never the one to annoyingly fuss over lotions claiming them to be sticky in this hot and humid country blah blah blah. The humongous bottle back at the left is my new personal favorite, the Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion. It has taken over my then-favorite Aveeno because of it's thinner in consistency, faster absorption, and the moisturizing effect lingers for hours. Perfect for an everyday moisturizer.
Next to it is my Vaseline Healthy White SPF 24 Lotion which I bought NOT for the whitening purpose (geez, I'm not that desperate). I bought it because of the high SPF I could find in an everyday lotion. I use this during the day when I go out. Nothing too fancy. It's sticky and takes forever to absorb and it also balls up sometimes. But I get a good loving protection from the sun so no biggie.
Down below to the left is a classic favorite of mine, the Jergens Original Scent Lotion. I use it when I'm in the mood to slather on the cherry-almond goodness that uplifts my mood every single time. It's kind of heavy in consistency for my taste but it gives a nice moisturizing nourishment.
Lastly to the right is the best in moisturizing in my opinion. It's my ever so favorite Body Shop Shea Body Butter. I like it because compared to other variants, the shea body butter is not runny and doesn't have that allergy-triggering scent. It's the only product that can make those tiny bumps in my arms disappear. And, it's just good. Despite the value, I'm willing to purchase this again and again.
Last but not least are my army of body oil. To the left is the cult favorite Body Shop Olive Oil Dry Oil Mist which I love because of the wonderful scent. The moisturizing effect is just so-so. The best body oil you could probably buy for its value, not to mention it functionality is the infamous Neutrogena Body Oil. Using this immediately after stepping out of the shower will you an amazing, soft and silky skin that will last you overnight. I only use this at night when my skin feels a little dry, or after a good scrub. It is one of my favorite discoveries and I'm also on my second bottle.
So that's it. I have quite a lot more products to show here but I figured I could only show you the basics because the rest are just for my kaartehan. Do you have any skin care products that you like to share? Tell me I'd be glad to hear about all of them! :) Thanks for reading have a nice day ahead!

Thank you :)
Nice blog and nice post. You're very thorough with your reviews making your blog a really good find for me. Keep it up!
Thank you so much :)
I was actually asked recently for my beauty regimen for this article but I couldn't give them anything specific. But come to think of it, even simple cleansing with Cetaphil and all that is already a "regimen" in itself ;)
